Introduction

The Architectural Library was founded in 1946, when Prof. Liang Sicheng established the Department of Architecture at Tsinghua University. Over the past few decades, the library has become a hub for exchanging academic materials, publications, and information. Today, it has one of the best collections of architectural books and periodicals among university libraries in China. The library is located on the third floor of Architecture Building. Currently, it has more than 70,000 books, mainly on architecture, urban planning, and landscape. Books on other subjects, such as philosophy, history, art, and the humanities are also included. In addition, the library has a precious collection of ancient Chinese books and architectural drawings and models dating back to the Qing dynasty.
